Mahindra, La Trobe University partner for research in civil engg

Hyderabad: Mahindra University and La Trobe University, Australia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a four-year student exchange initiative, and faculty exchange programme in civil engineering. Under the MoU, Mahindra University students will get to complete the final two years of their undergraduate programme at La Trobe University.
As part of Faculty exchange programme, professors from La Trobe University will teach Mahindra University students, and vice versa. Mahindra University in a press release said that La Trobe University will offer scholarships worth AUD 9,500 per annum to Mahindra University students participating in the programme. After completion of two-year study in Australia, students can apply for and receive a Post Study Work Permit of two years, if taken at the Bendigo campus then the Post-Study Work (PSW) period extends by an additional two years. Throughout their study at La Trobe University, students can undertake industry internships earning a stipend of up to $11,000 for a six-month internship.
